Plug the board into this computer with a USB cable.
On a board with two USB-C sockets, use the one marked UART or
COM — the other one is the port the phone uses.
Press Connect board and pick the serial port in the dialog.
Usually no buttons are needed. If it cannot connect, hold
BOOT, tap RESET, release BOOT, then try again.
When it finishes, unplug it, plug it into the phone, and press
Register in the ESP Bridge app to put it on a connection.
